DanielC Posted April 12, 2012 Share Posted April 12, 2012 We are looking for a drummer to join guitarist and bass player in some sort of fun alternative-pop band. We're into shoegaze, 80s american alternative, noise pop, post rock and electronic music, etc, and we're looking to blend these sort of things into something enjoyable. We're looking to enjoy ourselves whilst writing some good songs. Experimentation and open-mindedness are key, and bring as much ability as you like, I think we're looking for someone who's intuitive, but we're pretty easy going and will enjoy making a racket with just about anyone. It'd be cool if you liked songwriting too, but not essential. A list of bands usually helps, so if you really like any of these, or related stuff, give us a shout - Beach House, Fugazi, Polvo, Low, Yo La Tengo, My Bloody Valentine, Can, R.E.M., Aphex Twin, Blur, Sonic Youth, Animal Collective, Pavement, Deerhunter, Velvet Underground, Erik Satie, The Fall, Godspeed You Black Emporer - you should probably have an idea of where we're roughly coming from!
