JBradleybz
Its ok people willing to do it but the main question should be why was it capped in the first place. Is it a room sealed, open flued, or flueless fire. Dont take me wrong not been funny just as an good engineer i firstly think what was the situation for it to be capped off. All i would say is if there is a good reason for it then dont go for the cheap option with this get a full service with full flue tests if open flued. You want the flue checking in the room for flow and the stack above in the bedrooms and loft plus outside for the termination. You also want a flue gas analyser with room co testing with the fire on to be 100% sure its all good. Check any ventilation requirements also if its over 7kw rating or if the manufacturers instructions say it needs it cheers jon.
