Saturday 7th April Canalside at Kiveton

A1 (7½ miles):

 

From the train station at Kiveton Park we stroll through Kiveton Waters country park, picking up the Chesterfield Canal and following the towpath through the picturesque countryside, past the Thorpe and Turnerwood lock staircases and through to Worksop.

 

Start: SK489829, Kiveton Park train station End: SK585797, Worksop train station

 

Transport: Meet at Sheffield Train Station in good time for the 10:44 train to Kiveton Park (arriving 11:04). Return is by train from Worksop, for cheapest ticket obtain Sheffield - Worksop day return - £5.90. Please check website for transport changes nearer the time.

When: first Tuesday of every month, from 7pm (our next meeting will be 1st May)

 

Who is it for: if you're thinking of joining us, or you joined recently, these events are for you!

 

We understand that not all new members are comfortable approaching a big group of strangers, even if they are as lovely as SWG. For this reason we run a new members' evening which is held the first Tuesday of every month from 7pm to 8pm - you can drop in for a drink and a chat at any point between those times. Alice and Edita are part of the committee who are looking forward to meeting you and introducing you to other new members and telling you how the club works.

At 8pm, the monthly pub meet of the existing SWG members starts. You are more than welcome to stay and Alice and Edita will do their best to introduce you to potential friends and keep you having a fantastic time!
