Saturday 31st March Conisbrough Circular

 

B2 (11 miles):

 

A scenic circular route through the varied landscape in and around the Don Gorge. Starting at Conisbrough station we follow the Transpennine Trail to the wetlands at Denaby Ings, then climb to Melton Wood. After traversing the limestone ridge, we drop down to the scenic riverside at Sprotbrough for a pub stop, then return along the valley to the start point.

 

Start: SK509995, Conisbrough station

 

Transport: Meet at Sheffield Train Station in good time for the 9.25am train to Conisborough (arriving at 9.56am). Day Return ticket £5.20. Or meet at 10am at the walk start. Please check the website for transport changes nearer the time.

When: first Tuesday of every month, from 7pm (our next meeting will be 3 April)

 

Who is it for: if you're thinking of joining us, or you joined recently, these events are for you!

 

We understand that not all new members are comfortable approaching a big group of strangers, even if they are as lovely as SWG. For this reason we run a new members' evening which is held the first Tuesday of every month from 7pm to 8pm - you can drop in for a drink and a chat at any point between those times. Alice and Edita are part of the committee who are looking forward to meeting you and introducing you to other new members and telling you how the club works.

At 8pm, the monthly pub meet of the existing SWG members starts. You are more than welcome to stay and Alice and Edita will do their best to introduce you to potential friends and keep you having a fantastic time!
