Saturday 3rd March Blacka Moor Conservation Day

Not a walk, but an opportunity to work with Sheffield Wildlife Trust at Blacka Moor near Totley. Come along for the whole day or join us for an hour. This is one of the Wildlife Trust's regular volunteer days and tasks could include footpath improvements and access work or habitat and vegetation management. No experience needed. Should be an interesting day, spending time in a beautiful place. Tea, biscuits and gloves are provided, but please bring lunch if you wish to stay for the day and strong footwear / old clothes.

Please book on as early as possible so we can warn the Wildlife Trust how many people to expect.

Start: SK295802, Strawberry Lee Lane Car Park, Totley Bents

Transport: Meet at 9:30am at University car park, Durham Road (off Clarkson St), behind the Octagon (we will share the lifts from here) or meet 10am at start, take the A621 to Totley, turn right down Hillfoot Rd, then sharp left onto Penny Lane, pass the Cricket Inn, then continue ahead into Strawberry Lee Lane. You are welcome to join us later in the day, however you will need to find us by following paths up into Blacka Moor.

Walk leader: Ruth T

New members are more than welcome! If you could send a text to a walk leader the day before saying you are coming, that would be great! Lifts are shared - please specify in your text if you a driver or not.
