  1. Yes I was fairly intrigued by that so I checked and the nearest one is in space, not sure if its orbitting Norton or not though.
  2. The picture in the second link is what confused me. AGP cards have 2 slots but AGP slot only have one, go figure.
  3. OK I've popped an AGP card in and I get no signal to the monitor plugged into either the AGP card or the onboard card. Looked in the Bios and there is no option to disable it only options are 'onboard' and 'auto'.
  4. OK tried it again, was on the wrong server, oops. It worked on the server and I'll see in the morning if it has changed the times on the network pc's.
  5. Thx. Just had a look at the link and in regedit the second and 3rd registry value is not there. \config\AnnounceFlags and ConfigNtpServer.
  6. Hi, we are running our network at work from a server using Windows Server 2003 R2. We outsource our IT needs but seems they cant get their heads round configuring the time on the server and for it to also adjust all the pc's on the network. Its currently running at approx 5 minutes slow. Anyone out there know where to start with this please?
  7. Thx gillybear. I'll reassess the one I have first when I get home.
  8. There are also PCI slots in that model arent there? I have a Radeon thats AGP and when I opened it up it didnt look like it would fit anywhere.
  9. Its a Dell optiplex GX270. Tower version.
  10. I let my daughter by sims 3 for her PC thinking it would run ok, as Sims 2 did. I didnt realise it needed a new grapchics card, School boy error I know. Can anyone recommend a cheapish PCI card that will run Sims 3? THE SIMS 3 MINIMUM HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS FOR WINDOWS XP * Windows XP (Service Pack 2) * 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent * 1 GB RAM * At least 6.5 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content * 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0 My bold, its that part I'm struggling with.
  11. Seriously? You lost me, you saying Veolia are doing this? EDIT, that was a joke BTW, I know your talking about the 'man with a van'.
  12. Greaves Lane, before you get to the burnt out Pine Grove Club.
  13. Have a look at the picture and decide wether or not you think the warning sign is working. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5298/5422448145_5fd13e20df_b.jpg
  14. Anyone know why S6 (Hillsboro, Stannington etc) show up as Norton on mapping services and Sat Navs?
  15. Well i, and probably millions more were under the misguided illusion that you could only get to the config page by cable only. You learn summat new everyday.
  16. But I can confirm that you can log in using wireless. I'm now going to change my router username and password.
  17. I didnt say they all use the same, I said all Belkins use the same and all netgears use the same, not belkin and netgear use the same.
  18. I'm surprised by that. Whats to stop someone outside your house from changing your configuration? I know there are loads of routers on the market but dont all Belkins use the same ip addy and all netgears and so on?
  19. I'm not an expert but I believe you need to physically connect the wireless router to the pc via a network cable. If someone would like to correct me please do.
  20. You need your disc or the ipaddress for your router. Connect your pc to the router with a cable, go to the settings and there is a section in there to do it.
  21. Thx Greengeek but I've sorted it now. That does look a good bit of kit tho so I've downloaded it anyway. Thx all for your help, sorted. EDIT: Just had a tinker with your software recommendation Greengeek and it doesnt support flash drives.
  22. I have easus partition magic, its ace. Thx for your help.
  23. Sorry cant help tho I'm not sure laying it on your lap would hurt it unless you were bouncing it up and down.
