You are talking about the steelworks site that used to be called Fox's many years ago. Now owned and run successfully by Tata. The part that the retail park is being built on was formerly ran by Outo Kumpu. That part of the steelworks closed a few years back, leaving the still sizable Tata works. Fox Wire is/was along the bypass , just beyond Stocksbridge. Bodie, I know people that worked there. They weren't lazy, just understaffed.
