Not all chippies are created equal - I'm looking for actual recommendations of good ones, as I've encountered plenty of poor ones on the way. Sorry, I should have been more specific that we're looking for a good meal, not just any crap chippy. I've updated my original post now. As my two top picks use dripping, I feel I could use some guidance from those with local knowledge of specific chippies.

I'm looking for recommendations for the best Sheffield chippies that don't use beef dripping for frying. I personally really like places like Broomheads and Seafayre, but my partner is pescetarian (eats seafood but not meat) so these are not options for him. I had a good look in the infamous chippy thread* but it's hardly a definitive list of which chippies do/don't fry in dripping. Where should we go for really good dripping-free fish and chips? Any recommendations welcome! * to which I'm not yet allowed to link to. Ha!

Seems others in this thread don't rate Thai Thai Ka in Broomhill highly, but my partner and I are big fans. We order weekly and have always had a great meal / great service. I rate it above Baan Thai, anyway.
