Hi all,
I'm new here, although have lived in Sheffield for 3 years.
I think this is just a rant...so you may ignore.
I just feel so defeated at the moment re the housing situation. I am no longer a student and so it's so difficult finding accommodation being simply 'unemployed'. I'm having a really difficult time finding landlords who accept DSS, and for those who do will change their minds at the last minute! The simple situation would be to visit housing, get put on a register, become an emergency priority if possible. However, what I would be worried about is being relocated to say S26 when I need to be close to town etc. Also, establishing a link to Sheffield is incredibly difficult.
My mum tells me to move home. There's not much point really as it's really not a good environment and I have so much here - great healthcare, employment guidance, better chance of job opportunities, environment is great...
So yeah, I'm feeling pretty warn out by everything. I'm applying for jobs etc, but I guess I just can't handle this unemployed feature and how it makes life so difficult x
