Sheffield Beer Week returns in 2026 with a bold new theme celebrating two of the city’s most influential cultural exports: beer and synthesisers.
Running from Monday 9 to Sunday 15 March 2026, this year’s city-wide celebration is themed Sheffield Synth City, paying homage to Sheffield’s legendary electronic music heritage — from synth-pop and industrial to bleep-and-bass — while championing independent beer from local, national and international breweries.
Sheffield is the home of pioneering electronic acts and labels including The Human League, Heaven 17, Cabaret Voltaire, Clock DVA and Warp Records — and this legacy inspires a week of creative beer collaborations, events and experiences across the city.
What to Expect
Sheffield Beer Week is a multi-venue, city-wide celebration taking place across brewery taprooms, pubs, micropubs, bars and beer shops.
Across the week you can expect:
Synth-inspired collaboration beers
Tap takeovers from local to global independent breweries
Meet-the-brewer sessions and brewery tours
Beer walking tours and heritage pub walks
Beer & food and beer & music pairings
Pop-up tastings and talks
Special one-off events and workshops
Each brew takes inspiration from classic electronic genres, iconic Sheffield artists, or even the imagined flavour profiles of analogue synthesisers — creating a unique mash-up of sound, culture and beer.
