Festival of Debate 2025 🗣️The Festival of Debate is the UK’s largest annual non-partisan politics festival, returning with an engaging and diverse programme of discussions, keynote speeches, Q&As, performances, and artistic responses.

A Platform for Open Discussion
The Festival of Debate was founded in 2015 by Opus Independents to encourage active citizenship and democratic engagement at a time of increasing societal polarisation. It serves as an open platform for people to explore key political, social, and economic issues without partisanship.

Meet a unicornJoin us at Sheffield Cathedral for a magical workshop filled with enchanting crafts and a special unicorn meet and greet.

Painting with Flowers - Celebrating Summer Botanical Gardens TourOne hour long guided tour of Sheffield Botanical Gardens at 1 pm.
Meet at the entrance to the Dorothy Fox Education Centre, at the top of the slope from the Thompson Road gates, off Ecclesall Road. There’s no need to book, you can just turn up.
All tours include a range of sites in the garden with a specific monthly focus. Join us as we walk around to see how art is inspired by beautiful summer flowers.
We encourage people taking the tour to make a £3 donation to the Gardens.
This tour is one of the events for Sheffield Environment Weeks.
