Even if she knew a midwife, I'm not sure she'd be allowed simply to go round with them for a few weeks. She would have to be subjected to all the usual checks (yes, I know she'll have been CRB checked, etc., already, but it makes no difference I'm afraid). Good luck to her - I hope she is successful.
