  1. Honestly! Can people start picking their dog's mess up when they take them in the park!! A roll of poo bags from Poundland cost, yes, you've got it,a £1!

There's no shame in picking it up!!

    Cheers. Rant over.

and have you noticed the amount of poo bags discarded at side of pathways in the park, all because they can`t be bothered to find a bin

  2. If say if your someone like me who very rarely9 uses the peasant wagon, i have no idead what the fare is for the destination and i dont every carry change as i always pay by card everywhere or only carry notes. So not everyone is the same.

Also on w occasions when i have tried to use change, 10p,20p,50p on first buses the driver wouldnt accept as he/she apparently had too much change. This then resulted in having tonise a note and then carry around yet more change! This is a prime example of why i wouldnt pay for a fare with change

why would the driver say he/she has too much change? they don`t have to count it all at end of their shift. it all gets chucked into a machine that counts it all for them

  3. Hi. I just wondered who I need to contact in regards to a coat and some other things that got left in the ambulance after being dropped off at the Northern General.

well firstly i would contact ambulance service, but if they took it into a&e then i would contact a&e department , they normally send lost property to their security department if not claimed within a certain time, but security do not normally take in clothing into lost property

  4. So as the changes in this area progress, what do people think of the bus lane swapping from the left lane to the right lane so buses can turn right as above?

I think its a crazy idea! Surely it would have been better to keep buses in the left lane and use traffic lights to let them go first and do the right turn? This would also give them more room to swing round the tight right turn! They have also had to close the last bus stop before the lights because the bus will be in the wrong lane (right hand side lane).

as a bus driver i agree, looking at it we would probably have to steal some of the left lane in order to make the turn, but we shall see when it comes into practice next week

  5. Why not apply for bin man jobs its much less work for same pay than driving. You get the general public to do most of the work for you.

They put the bin out on the pavement. You put it on a machine that lifts and emptys it and leaves it on the pavement for the public to take it back.

And the pay is good too.

not like years ago when proper binmen had to walk round to your back yard & lift & carry the bins on their backs, and the bins were made out of metal

  6. Has the roads round here changed then? As if you are right and its likely to be a regular occurrence I am surprised in the years the tram has been running this hasn't happened before.

If she is new then why don't First train them properly?

if you hadn`t noticed, all sheffields bus network has just gone through a major change and drivers have had a short space of time to have to learn all new routes, this combined with adhering to times and complaints from passengers and it was a misty morning may have lead to a human error, after all were all human arent we?

  7. Just had a visit from two men saying they are from Yorkshire water and have to check our drains are ok, i said i hadn't been notified from Yorkshire water about this and they said no body has and the checks have to be done.

Has anyone else had a visit from these people , they both had yellow jackets and i.d cards.

i am in s5, and had them at my house, they said that human waste is contaminating the brook and the reason is that some people that build extensions have been tapping into the wrong drains.ie:waste water instead of sewage drains,

with the explanation and the fact that they only lifted 2 drain covers at front of my house, i didnt think it was anything malicious.

  8. Well done to the man in the van, it restores ones faith in human nature a bit when you hear stories like that.

I hope you boys all right. Let’s hope that he learns by the experience and puts it behind him, and long may he enjoy his motorcycling.

he is ok thanks, although he doesn`t know how it happened, we are just grateful that there are still people willing to stop and help.
