Hi, I have a stair lift that is no longer required and would like if possible for it to go to help someone else. It is about 10 years old but worked fine when it was last used but would need an electrician to dismantle and then refit it .Where would be the best place to advertise this just so it doesn't go to scrap? ?

Over 8000 people have signed the petition now - surely the council have to relook at their decision to sell it? If it's protected by all these covenants how do they get away with it??

I still don't understand how the council can sell something that doesn't belong to them - if I tried to sell my neighbours house think they'd be a bit upset!! The park was gifted to the people of Sheffield for their enjoyment - end of story!! Sign the petition now

Hi, Would like to recommend Tim Atkin for roofing (Goes under Sheffroofer on the forum) Came out to do a quote, gave knowledgeable (and understandable) advice without pushing and completed the job quickly and efficiently, taking photos to show me what had been done and all at a very reasonable price. Would definitely use him again in the future.

Have just had a kitchen replacement done by Ryan from RFJoinery and really happy with it. Despite being given a really tight budget and time frame (due to us moving out as well) he went above and beyond to complete the work on time and to a good standard - even when other tradesmen had not done what they should have! I moved house Sunday (01/03/15) and used Movesandremoves. Honestly don't think I would still be sane without them!!! Came at short notice, nothing was too much trouble even though I think I had about twice as much as I had told them about (!!) and they did everything asked carefully, professionally and with a smile. Would 100% recommend them to anyone - and really reasonable price wise too! Thank you guys so much

They are white -a bit like the old polysterene ones but thicker and with a random holey pattern if that makes sense! - and about 590mm sq. Will give Go interiors a try as well - thank you both for your replys

Hi, Does anyone know anywhere in Sheffield that sells the tiles for suspended ceilings? We have got a couple that have cracked and I have tried Wickes, B& Q etc but with no luck:( Would be grateful for any info, Thanks

Hi, yes I went to see a hypnotist in Feb this year after smoking around 20 a day for 35 years. I must admit I was a bit skeptical as I had tried patches and other nicotine replacement therapies but to no avail, but I can honestly say I have not had one since walking out of there!!! Only one session too! I can only say it worked for me but, I did replace them with chocolate so am now thinking of going back to curb me of that habit too:)

Have you thought about buying a second hand one? If you can fit it yourself it would work out a much cheaper option.

I think they have shot themselves in the foot trying to charge this amount. Surely if they'd charged a sensible amount people would have agreed to pay but 57.60 is far too much for me to consider. I'll just make sure that the green bin is filled to the top when they collect it for the last time and then have to use the black bin for anything I can't compost!!

I rung the council earlier this week about the green bin collection and they said there is a leaflet due to be delivered to everyone in the next week or so about the green bin collection. The council are no longer going to operate the service but Veolia are going to take over the service at a cost. No idea how much this is going to be though! If it is reasonable I'm sure a lot of people will continue to use it.
