  1. Never again. My cat was in for 2 weeks and came back sick.

On a positive note they did agree to pay the vets fees as I had already paid insurance to them .

never again. They had my cat for 2 week at Morning side and he came back sick. They reckon they didn't notice. They did however pay the vet fees.

  2. Yes we all know all this, but when you have a 6 year old child with CF who is looking at going into hospital again within the next couple of weeks, you try anything, even if it is only for everyone on the forum to sign an E petition. All my family and friends have donated but it's impossible for our small family to give all the money needed.

For a petition to have to be debated in government we need 100.000 signatures, according to forum figures there are 136,633 registered users, with only a couple of dozen views and only 2 replies to my topic, I feel I am wasting my time, both with the post and Sheffield Forum.

  3. How much has gene therapy cost so far and how much are you currently spending?

To get to where we are now – ready to proceed to a multi-dose trial of gene therapy for Cystic Fibrosis – has taken ten years of research and cost well over £30million. The gene therapy trial preparation is costing thousands of pounds per day so a significant portion of our general, unrestricted income is currently being spent funding gene therapy research and will be throughout 2012. This is taken from the CF trust website. All this could go to waste and when the prospects are looking good from the first phase trials.

  4. thanks everybody! yes the reason why i want to do auto is its easier and i cant get to grips with clutch control, i guess im not cut out for manual but with the baby on the way i need to drive... 5 months to pass then lol.

    thanks again

I did exactly the same when I was pregnant 30 years ago and passed first time, as the others have said it does limit you to what car you can have, but I have kept mine for years , think I have only had 5 cars in that time so have not had much of a problem. Good luck.

  5. Don't know if you all know, but if this trial can't raise £6k by the end of the month the second phase of the genetic trials will not go ahead, this will mean thousands of pounds wasted from the first phase which was very successful when tested on patients. Please will everyone sign the e petition to the government. My grandaughter suffers from CF along with many more both young and older, if the trials prove positive a cure could be here sooner rather than later. You can also donate through Virgin money or the cystic fibrosis trust site. Thanks it costs nothing to sign.

  6. My grandchild has had homework since she was 3 as well from a Rotherham school. I didn't know it wasn't compulsory though, she has always done it, even though health matters take up a good hour each evening and now she is older and the homework more it's proving difficult to fit it all in and for her still to have a childs life after school and before bed, she is 6.

  7. We get them, mainly at meal times, I am registered with TPS, but they don't cover international calls, of which miner mostly are, it shows up on my phone as INTERNATIONAL, I screamed at them once, and they didn't bother me for months, but they are back now, I mostly don't answer. I also still get WITHHELD numbers as well, which I thought was illegal now, but how do you report them without a number?

  8. If you are a leasehold house and have been ripped off by overcharged insurance , then under the Commonhold Act 2002, you can exercise your right to buy your own insurance and serve a notice of cover on the freeholder company - see sample notice

If you are a leasehold house on 800 years lease, then you can buy the freehold for about 10 x annual ground rent + legal expenses.

My leaseholder wants £1600 to buy the freehold, this includes £50 fee to land registry and admin fees, as my ground rent is only £26 per year I think this is a bit excessive, but then again I don't know how much the fees would cost, any ideas please.

  9. We were moving that day, in the afternoon, from Darnall, our journey took us from there down the M1 North, needless to say, the things we moved ourselves in the morning got there in no time, then the furniture van arrived and everything was held up, it cost us a fortune in removal fees, and we finally got everything out of the van at our new address at 9.30pm.

  10. Take a combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen, you take 2 ibuprofen then 2 hours later take 2 paracetamol, 2 hours later take 2 ibuprofen and so on. This should see you through until tomorrow. Also go on the dental phobia website, it's really is excellent. Hope you get it sorted. :-)

I agree with all this and try swilling your mouth with salt water, I found the more salt the better, hold it in your mouth as long as you can before spitting it out, it really worked for me and you can repeat it as often as you feel the need.
