Just read that the concert is likely to go on until 23:20... Just as well I'm taking the car.. Once again, a complete failure of our public transport planners.. How hard would it be to put on a few extra trains from Sheffield to the big cities in the Midlands and North..
Well, at least I considered doing my bit for the environment (and local beer trade) by trying to use public transport.
Come on Sheffield, its no good telling us to use public transport if the trains shut down before the concert finishes
Long live the car....

Apologies.
Just checked again and there is only 1 train e at 2315 from Sheffield City Station....
If you were lucky enough to get to the station on time, which would be very unlikely.

I live in Leeds and wanted to get the train down to the concert so that I could have a few pints before the concert..
Just checked and there are only 4 trains leaving between the concert ending and 12:15am. The next train after that is at 4am..
Thought there would have been trains running through the night on this one.
Can anyone suggest any other sensible ways of getting to the gig..

We got into the concert with no problems, parking and tram were fine at Meadowhall. Never seen so many traffic police around the place.
Then after the concert, it was a complete nightmare. There was no traffic management, or police (When you need them most). It took us 2 and a half hours to get from the car park under the Tinsley viaduct onto the M1.
It would be interesting to see what time the traffic gor back to normal, there must have still been people trying to get out of there at 4am.
Apart from that..... it was one hell of a concert, by far the best I've been to.
