  1. Hello Paintedsmile

I think the names were Kathleen Wilkinson and Susan Rowbotham (dec). I also remember Jennifer Hewitt and a Kathryn Merryl.

I am still in touch with Barbara Brearly and plan a reunion very soon with others.

    Interested?

Yes I am . I remember Kathleen but remember Jennifer as Jenny Herrett and. Kathryn Rowbotham.

Would love to attend a reunion. I knew Barbara well

  2. If you or any friend / family are going to Spain or the Canaries get hold of some Nutratopic range of creams / lotions / bath gels and they do a baby facial cream too.

My son has had eczema all his life and he is 24 now. we have used everything from E45 to steroid creams and find the Nutratopic stuff is wonderful.

Unfortunately its not available here but if you google it you can order it online from spanish online pharmacies

  3. I am moving house

Currently have an old expensive BT broadband and phone and a sky TV package with sports.

We dont game or download much but use email and surf quite a bit and upload to F/book and Ebay

We hardly use the landline for calls at all .

I cant decide whether to go for a Sky package or a BT package . Virgin cant provide TV in the area we are moving to.

BT are offering Unlimited TV . unlimited broadband with Sky sports 1 and 2 and ESPN and unlimited calls for about the same price as Sky with the sports but not ESPN and Sky Lite Broadband of 2MB [which I am not sure is enough] and unlimited phone calls .

BT say all we need is a working line and an aerial whilst Sky need to send an engineer

Totally unsure what to do and would welcome comments

  4. I am moving into a house and it has a free standing [ very old ] electric cooker . I want to replace the cooker and thought I would be limited to an all electric one but on pulling out the cooker there's a capped off gas pipe there. I don't know how long its been unused.

I need someone to come and look and tell me if I can use a dual fuel cooker there i.e. gas top hob and electric oven and also give me a price to install such a cooker.

Also I would welcome suggestions for a good 60 cm free standing cooker and opinions on the dual fuel type

This little cat adopted me and my 2 cats . I dont know if she was mistreated but she is very timid. She will let me pick her up amd she will purr but she does not like to come in the house . She sleeps in my garage and spends her time in the garden. She would be great on a farm or similar . Perhaps with a dedicated owner she would spend more time inside. She likes to hunt and sometimes brings me a present ! I did manage to catch her and get her speyed.

I am taking my elderly [ 16 yrs ] neutered tom with me because he will not be able to find a new home and I cant bear to part with him . Its bad enough I have to rehome my other 2 cats

  7. I was at PE infants and juniors until 1961

I remember Mr Vernon Cross Headmaster ..he smoked a pipe and he used to pick up the little girls !! I remember the smell of his pipe tobacco.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Mr Bellamy He used to walk down the rows of desks and whack the boys on the back of the head if they weren't paying attention !

I also remember Mrs Gilson and Miss Stephenson as well as Mrs Webster.

My sister and brother [ also on this forum ] went to PE too and later on my son was there.

Some names I remember are Terry Dell Elaine Kay Jean Tilney Alan Kitchen Michael Oldale Mick Szymanski Peter Briggs Susan Foulstone Susan Jackson.

I am sure more will come back to me
