  1. can anyone give me some advice please my father has been issued with a parking ticket for parking in a permit zone during the day on Shoreham Street to visit family. He is disabled and displays a badge accordingly in the front window. for many years he has visited on the same day each week for 8 years without any problems. On this occasion he's been issued a ticket but the colour of the vehicle is incorrect. in fact they are at total opposites.

    Can anyone advise please.

  2. Now Now you know you can't name and shame on here without feeling the wrath of the gods, but there used to be a large removal firm in Sheffield that used dark blue vans to move furniture, and low loader lorries to move very heavy equipment, the firm bore the same name as the shop on Effingham Street Rotherham.

That may well be the case, Have you had the same experience? or can you cast any light on how to deal with people who clearly don't give two hoots about after sales or customer care?

  3. Is this the retailer on Effingham Street?.

    who would that be?

It's clearly not fit for purpose under the Sale of Goods Act. For the first 6 months it's up to them to prove that the item wasn't faulty when you bought it.

Thanks ever so much for the messages I will take it up.

  4. I purchased a bathroom suit from a popular retailer in rotherham 5 weeks ago, Ive had it installed by a qualified plumber however the shower door leaks badly. its a manufacturing issue ( or so the plumber says) and I'm confident that is the case. The plumber has even held off taking payment from me until this is resolved.

Thats where the problems are, I'm getting the run around by the company and feel somewhat intimidated as they don't want to know.

can anyone advise or throw light on what would help?

  5. Thanks for your comments and for the links which are really helpful the one with the toy car is so funny it made my day. I think the collapsible bollards are a great idea and is the answer, but when I asked the management company about fitting one they said we couldn't because it then opens it up to people being able to put what they want on the parking spaces eg. sheds etc. (a load of rubbish actually) but they have said we carn't do it. :(

Then why not ask the management company to write to the owner of the car explaining the protocols on parking. Try this first, you pay a service charge find out what your paying for.

  6. Having just returned from the above mentioned restaurant I feel it should be known that for a children's glass of Cola you will pay £2.20, with a pint being £3.50 which is actually more expensive than alcohol.

Although the food was OK if not rather expensive We wont be visiting again due to over inflated sky high prices.

Interestingly the soft drink & draught beer/lager prises are not on any menu or advertising board for you to observe. You find out when you pay!!!!

  7. really not happy tonight, as having paid for the bout on primetime TV I still sit here waiting for the programme to start. And yes you guessed it all the lines are busy after call number 65 !!!!

I'm so angry, customer service is a joke and will they refund my dosh, they wont even answer my call

  8. That's a shame , it really is.

If this news is correct then shame on you kevin McCabe for removing Mick Rooker, Not only was Mick known by the many Blades who visited our club. He was also known to many a Sheffield Wednesday Fan over the years for the banter and smiles between both sets of fans. He was a blade.100%.

He will be missed by all who knew the type of nice guy he was.

I hope you go on to enjoy the happiness you brought to many a football fan in there daily lives.

Take care Mick ( hopefully see you for a pint or two)

    A Mosborough Blade............

  9. Too many people still respect bankers and bankworkers. I have always regarded them as a bunch of dishonest money grubbing parasites. This attitude has served me well for over 30 years.

Jesus did not kick the parasites out of the temple for nothing.

as we have challenged the person who still works for the bank, albeit a different branch. They will investigate and come back to us.

    thank you for the PM's

  10. If it said they would charge for early repayment (as most loans do) and you were aware of it then how is it a rip-off.. genuine question..

Your right 99% of loans do say they may charge for early repayment. I questioned this at the time and was told if within 12 months of the term then it would not normally apply, as all loans are front loaded.

And that's he brunt of my complaint. They now are changing their tune. And I'm not paying a small amount back, it's a condsiderable sum of money.

  11. a very well know bank for all the wrong reasons that cost the tax payer billions has applied a charge on my account for me trying to pay a loan off.

I took a loan out some time ago with a view to paying it off within the agreed terms of business. This has been my marker , if I'm honest, I'm proud we have managed to set the money aside so were able to pay it all back 8 months before the settlement date.

There is no incentive for me to pay it off as the rebate is not only offensive, hidden charges will be applied for failing to complete the terms of business.

we would not knowing have taken any loan that punishers us for trying to mange our finances any better than we can. I remember asking, " if i pay it off will we incur any penalties ?"

"No" was the answer, you incur the daily interest thats all.

we expected that, as in a few days interest, however not a charge for early repayment.

I may add gives the big bank their full amount back with interest ( well almost)

Im absolutely disgusted by these people that ruin the banking system.

can anyone help or advise me, who or what, i can do?
