About the Venue
Don Valley Bowl is one of Sheffield’s most distinctive outdoor live music and events venues, set within the Don Valley between the city centre and Meadowhall. Originally constructed as part of the World Student Games legacy, the Bowl was redeveloped and relaunched as a major open-air performance space, quickly establishing itself as a key destination for large-scale concerts, festivals and cultural events.
Designed as a natural amphitheatre, Don Valley Bowl offers excellent sightlines and acoustics, with a capacity of up to around 15,000 people. Since reopening, it has hosted headline performances from internationally renowned artists alongside major touring productions and city-wide celebrations. Its scale, open setting and industrial-meets-green surroundings make it a unique alternative to traditional arenas, particularly suited to summer shows and outdoor spectaculars.
Located close to the Olympic Legacy Park and well served by tram, road and public transport links, Don Valley Bowl plays a growing role in Sheffield’s live events economy. It has quickly become a flagship venue for open-air entertainment in South Yorkshire.
