Wild Play May half term - family woodland fun

Love playing and exploring outside? This May we will be getting creative in the woods with our arty activities! Berry painting, crafting with sticks and leaves, plus the usual games, exploration and fun. We're also part of the Children's University!

Our WILD PLAY events are perfect for children approximately 3-9 yrs. Younger siblings may attend for free with a paying child but we don't expect them to participate (because the activities are not aimed at their age group). You only need to book a ticket for the participating children, but adults must stay too.

Although we're in the woods, its best to leave your dogs at home please.

What to expect: The event is 2 hours and includes a short walk. It is totally outside whatever the weather, so prepare for woodland (muddy) conditions. The woodland is not accessible and involves crossing a small stream with steep muddy banks (not recommended for prams, but possible if essential). Please contact us if you want more clarification.

We want to set off on our adventure promptly so please make sure to arrive on time so you're not left behind!

Booking a ticket is essential to attend this event.

Facilities and parking: There are public toilets and a car park at the Discovery Centre. If it is full, we politely ask you NOT to park on any roadside verges on Abbey Lane, please park around the corner on Whirlowdale Road, and walk to the entrance. Allow an extra few minutes for this.

If you have a question, please call 0114 263 4335 or email
[email protected]

Refund policy: Refunds may be granted up to 7 full days before the event starts
