Sheffield’s Tramlines Festival has revealed the first wave of its 2025 line-up, and it’s shaping up to be one of the best yet. Taking place in Hillsborough Park from 25-27 July, the festival will feature a mix of legendary headliners, rising stars, and homegrown talent.
Among the headline acts are PULP, Kasabian, and local favourites The Reytons, joined by big names like Franz Ferdinand, Natasha Bedingfield, and Jake Bugg. With this stellar line-up, Tramlines continues to cement its reputation as a must-attend event for music lovers.
Friday – PULP Curates
The iconic Sheffield band PULP is not only headlining Friday but curating the entire day, showcasing an eclectic mix of acts, including:

FRIDAY 25TH JULY 2025
5pm – The Power Trio
Introducing The Power Trio, a dynamic neo-soul/jazz ensemble led by the multi-talented Ryan Taylor. Renowned for his keyboard prowess, soulful vocals and charismatic stage presence, Ryan channels the spirit of James Brown, Herbie Hancock, Cory Henry, Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai and Prince as he masterfully orchestrates the band’s sonic journey. Joined by bass virtuoso Alex McGibbon, whose slap bass artistry pays homage to the golden era of the ’70s and ’80s. Tom Townsend completes the trio with an authenticity and versatility that sets the perfect foundation for floor-filling, festival rocking grooves.
8pm – Cirque Du Funk
DJ Paul Metcalfe was the main man behind the iconic Bed nightclub in Sheffield during the late 1990s, bringing in top dance acts from all over the world to perform for the city’s vibrant music scene. Over the years, Metcalfe had worked alongside most of the key players in the industry, establishing himself as a pivotal figure in Sheffield’s nightlife. With Cirque du Funk Sheffield, an energetic musical collective that has taken Sheffield by storm, he has become known for unforgettable performances.
SATURDAY 26TH JULY 2025
1pm – The Lemur Conspiracy
The Lemur Conspiracy is an eight-piece original jazz-funk band based in Sheffield. Comprised of an explosive three-piece horn section and a compelling five-piece rhythm section, The Lemur Conspiracy deliver enough energy to bring the house down every night. Drawing from an eclectic range of modern and traditional influences, spanning jazz, afrobeat and dance music, The Lemur Conspiracy write and perform original music that stands among the UK’s thriving contemporary jazz scene.
3pm – Katie Bosworth
Katie Bosworth is a singer/songwriter and, along with her amazing band will be performing a wide variety of music ranging from RnB, soul, pop and many well-known classics for visitors to dance and sing along to. Playing songs from artists such as Amy Winehouse, Jorja Smith and Stevie Wonder, Katie is not to be missed.
5pm – Billie Jane
Billie Jane performs music that grooves by the likes of Silk Sonic, Santana, Jill Scott and D’Angelo, as well as party jams from Whitney, Stevie and MJ. As one of Sheffield’s rising stars, Billie has incredible vocal range and power, and is accompanied by one of the tightest bands in the hemisphere.
7pm – Matrix Club Matrix
Club classics and 90’s dance anthems band, Matrix Club Matrix have become one of the most sort after bands for live venues, parties, festivals and special occasions. By selecting the cream of classic club tracks, they have captured the energy and vibe from the names that shaped the world of dance music, and perform them completely live. Matrix Club Matrix are a unique, unforgettable and absolutely ‘must see class act’ bringing you an uplifting, tribute to the music that shaped an era.
8.30pm – DJ Ryan Taylor
Band leader extraordinaire takes a step back from the keys and brings the party to the decks. Global flavours for the dancefloor, from reggaeton to nu-disco to afro house.
SUNDAY 26TH JULY 2025
1pm – The Retrobates starring Kitty Noir
Meet The Retrobates starring Kitty Noir. A rocking outfit delivering steaming hot rhythm and blues straight out of the pot. If you want music to dance to and heart that is straight outa the 1950’s, then this is what you’ve been waiting for. The hottest vocalists, backed by a band that have been rollin’ out jump-jive, blues and rock ‘n’ roll for a lifetime! But don’t just take our word for it. Pop on your cat clothes, set those side-walk flappers a-flappin and stroll on down to let Kitty Noir and The Retrobates rock your blues away!
3pm – Papa Soul
Sheffield’s very own funk/soul sisters and brothers are the ultimate crowd pleasers, with their unique take on classic songs from timeless labels such as Stax, Chess, Motown and Atlantic. Throw in some reconstructed contemporary funk and disco grooves, plus the raw talent and energy that this band has in abundance, and you have yourself one hell of a party!
5pm – Rogue
Featuring the incomparable Hannah Lily on vocals, John Wynn on bass, Tom Bryson on Drums and Chris Firminger on guitar, Rogue perform a varied repertoire of hits from the ages.
7pm – Acoustic Angels
Sheffield’s favourite acoustic band, playing hits from the northern soul/Motown era right up to present day. Led by John Reilly, the Acoustic Angels feature some of the best players around – Shaun Perry, Darren Ford, Cary Bayliss and Steve Beighton.
8.30pm – DJ Algie
Possibly the first DJ to hold a residency at Leopold Square some 14 years ago, DJ Algie returns for an evening of soul, R and B and Motown.
