I don't see any harm in posting this here. :)

Might be nice for those of you who have seen out Videos in Sheffield but live around the Dinnington area. :)

Feedback is appreciated too. :)

Filming around Hillsborough tomorrow too. If you have any locations you'd like to see us train on, in Hillsborough, then let me know here. :)

This is good as you don't see all that many people doing Parkour around the Sheffield area. I live close to the area you were doing it and there are lots of places down by the crags and the canal. People will always try and justify to you why it is wrong but what damage does it do to people. Done in the right way it looks amazing and you were getting the kids on the street to have a go too. It is getting so widespread now that it should be accepted as a proper urban sport but I can't see the council granting a custom built area any time soon. Some of the video's on U-tube are very good, especially the one with the two brothers doing it David Belle style. Have you noticed how many films are now including it in the action scenes now, Casino Royale, 13th Precinct and the new Die Hard to name a few. It should now be accepted, part funded by local authorities and televised more. Carry on the good work I say. Nice one.

WOW - that's pretty neat stuff.

Where does the term PARKOUR come from (don't know this being a bit old, see).

Can't see any harm in that - I find it entertaining - come to Hackenthorpe any time. It doesn't seem menacing and causes no harm to anyone (except to the person doing it wrong lol). A bit like the skateboarding of the 00ies I suppose (and I don't suppose people liked the youth of the day doing that either - easy to forget what you did when you were young).

Keep it up

ps you went past my brothers house there - better let me know if he complained - i'll tell him to chill a bit lol

I love watching your parkour vids on YouTube. I can't believe you were being griefed. What do they want you to do? Slob about all day and drink? Some citizens are never happy!

Keep up the good work Shane.

Come and do some around Firth Park

Where does the term PARKOUR come from (don't know this being a bit old, see).

It is French... Sometimes abbreviated to PK. Parkour or l'art du déplacement (English: the art of displacement) is recreational activity of French origin, the aim of which is to move from point A to point B as efficiently and quickly as possible, using principally the abilities of the human body. It is meant to help one overcome obstacles, which can be anything in the surrounding environment — from branches and rocks to rails and concrete walls — and can be practised in both rural and urban areas. Male parkour practitioners are recognized as traceurs and female as traceuses.

Founded by David Belle, parkour focuses on practicing efficient movements to develop your body and mind to be able to overcome obstacles in an emergency. Parkour is also taken up for entertainment or as a pastime.

I thought it looked great. I'm always astounded by the skill and agility and courage required. Nice to see people enjoying themselves. It's a pity you got hassled but i suppose some people will never get the point that to do parkour you have to be fit, sober and dedicated. Keep up the good work.

i can remember seeing a massive group of about 50 kids meeting outside the university near the train station for a spot of climbing, running and jumping - that was about 3 years ago now - seen some tv program with a french bloke jumping the gap in a footy stadium roof - that was well cool.
