holymoses   10 #1 Posted August 30, 2007 About 4ish this morning we heard a clomping noise on the street outside, plus whimpering. We had a curtain twitching moment to find two foxes on the street outside, I think one must had caught their paw in a can. That would account for the clomping sound.  This was in Intake did any one else see them? The fox sounded in alot of distress, but it was long gone within a minute or two, heading towards the TA centre.
 Share this content via...

BasilRathbon   10 #4 Posted August 30, 2007 whats "whimmering" ? i'd like to hear some of that!  Whimmering is a small village in Dorset renowned for its Fox Sanctuary. The term has, as a consequence come to be used as slang for the noises mating foxes make.    Hope that helps!
 Share this content via...
Nigel Womersle   10 #5 Posted August 30, 2007 The poster stated 'whimpering', not whimmering. Its a low crying sound.
 Share this content via...
Hepstall   10 #6 Posted August 30, 2007 How does that translate into a rude awakening though? Its not as if they took a wazz on your lawn after a skinful and then put two fingers up at you after a drunken outbust.
 Share this content via...
holymoses   10 #7 Posted August 30, 2007 A quick edit on my part. I wasn't quite awake when I posted. Not enough beauty sleep, I was wide awake for a good hour after the foxes had been.  Any way back to the post... I take it no one else saw or heard anything? The poor fox sounded in agony. BasilRathbon   10 #10 Posted August 30, 2007 Like the other poster said it's what they do when around females.  Oddly enough I also whimper when I'm around females. Am I turning into a fox?
 Share this content via...
