Lickszz
Australian sporting legend snooker player Eddie Charlton as passed away at the age of 75. He made several appearances at the crucible and was notorious for his slow play. I once saw Eddie Charlton v Cliff Thorburn in one of the dullest matches ever seen at the crucible. Killian
Yes, dear old Dreadie Eddie. Don't know how you stayed awake to watch that one. Didn't he used to dabble in Formula 1? I'm afraid Eddie isn't the only sportsman to die today. Just heard on the news that Emlyn Hughes has died after a long illness. Only 57 as well. Lived in Sheffield, apparently. Lickszz
Eddie, was quite a master at pot black. When I saw his match with Thorborn, they ended up playing very late to the early hours of the morning because they were to far behing due to the time frames had been taking. I recall one instance where Mr Thorborn took almost 6 minutes for thinking about a shot and still screwed it up.
smedley
Eddie could've died taking a shot and no-one would've noticed for ages.
