Meaks   11 #4 Posted August 6, 2007 There is a thread here that has a bit of info: http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=155627  And more specifically: http://www.doggiepubs.org.uk/index.php?29=on&columns=1&printview=no&go=+Show+Counties+&supporters=new  As a general rule many non-'foodie' ale houses allow well behaved dogs. Not sure about the Anglers, as the current landlord won't even let locals in, never mind dogs!!!!
 Share this content via...

KATIEB_23 Â Â 10 #12 Posted August 10, 2007 what a great idea- Ive often wondered what the pubs do with the end bits of meat joints from their carvery- Im not much of a meat eater and always bring my portion back home for 'Nellie. Once we went to a nice pub in Huddersfield at about 6pm on a Sunday. The carvery had just finished, and the chef came out of the kitchen and asked us "does your dog eat meat?" (err ) and came back out with literally a full carrier bag of beef, gammon & turkey offcuts! It smelled so good I had to keep my OH from stealing it from the dog! All that meat lasted him all week mixed with his dinners. We will definitely be going back there again!
 Share this content via...
