Adaware

Recommended Posts

I don't seem to be able to use Adaware properly.

Each time I try to do a full system scan the thing stops after only a few seconds and always in the same place.

It says;

Deep scanning local registry

Objects scanned 49121

Software/microsoft/windows/currentversion\sharedDLL's

Any help would be appreciated.

When its deep scanning it slows right down and takes a while to finish. Have you just left it for a while ?

As soon as it goes on to deep scanning it does look like its stopped but its just taking longer

Hope this may help

thanks coggy, but what do you mean by 'a while'.

I have left it for an hour or so but it never moves. Is that long enough?

Uninstall it, and download the latest version, and try it again.

You may have a knackered download.

If it STILL does, it, then I'm lost....

mmmm 1 hour is too long. Have you tried disconnecting from the internet when it runs ?

If you have and it still does not work then i would do as GM said and uninstall it and dowload it again

After installing the new version, make sure you update it before running it.

Also, worth running a full and up to date virus scan before you try ad-aware again..

This could also be the problem...
