Steve70   10 #16 Posted July 22, 2007 The fight card to date for this show is.  Greg Darmon vs Chris McCartie 7 x 2 min Wako pro British title fight (F/C)  Alex McKenzie vs Lee Liversidge 7 x 2 min BFKKO British title fight (Low kick)  Shane Beard vs Steve Primrose 7 x 2 min BFKKO British Title fight (Low Kick)  Daniel Renshaw vs Paul Crooke 3 x 2 min wako pro (F/C)  Olli Woollard vs Alex Munroe 3 x 2 min wako am F/C  Wajid Shaffique vs David Kamara 3 x 2 min Wako Pro F/C  Sam Fisher vs Chloe Taylor 2 x 1.5 min L/C  Junior fighter Levi Ashall 2 x 1 min L/C fight to be confirmed  There are still fighters to be matched such as  Adam Lawrence Scott Hickling Scott Sykes Nick Crampin David Perks 2 lads from Hucklow ( sorry dont know names) There are more but i dont know the names sorry the promoters have pointed out that there can only be 12 fights max and demand to fight on the venue is extremly high, but this show is trying to promote local fighters from all clubs.  Hope fully Terry Johnsons, Sheffield Dragons will perform a demonstration at the interval and there will be some rappers and singers to warm the crowd up.  http://www.showdownevents.co.uk  http://www.prokungfu.com
 Share this content via...
richardquinn   10 #17 Posted July 23, 2007 sorry if it sounds like a stupid question but are the low kick fights going to be under WAKO Taih Kick Rules or just low kick?
 Share this content via...
chefkicker   11 #18 Posted July 23, 2007 Some interesting fighters on this card :  1.Daniel Renshaw vs Paul Crooke 3 x 2 min wako pro (F/C) Daniel always gives value for money win lose or draw.Watch out for the new improved Daniel Renshaw.Expect to see a change in his usual come forward like a clockwork orange style. Watch this space 2.Olli Woollard vs Alex Munroe 3 x 2 min wako am F/C Alex Munroe is a good Light Contact fighter. Both have a lot of experience so its a fair match. Last time out Olli was up against a novice and the mismatch was apparent. This match up gives more credibility. Well done to the matchmaker for realising this  3.Wajid Shaffique vs David Kamara 3 x 2 min Wako Pro F/C  Regarding Olli's fight being Amateur, then why is Waj fighting PRO. Just curious as I was udner the impression that WAKO were doing a definite Amateur/PRO divide thats all.       4. Sam Fisher vs Chloe Taylor 2 x 1.5 min L/C An exciting match , I actually suggested this to Adrian myself but personally I think that matching these 2 up in Light Contact takes away from the spectator value .Its a waste of what could have been a really good full contact match up (just my opinion , dont go reporting my post!).   Rappers and Singers sounds like a good idea. We had Breakdancers on ours.
 Share this content via...
