Tigerfan   10 #51 Posted July 14, 2007 The other day I was walking down the road and saw the notices on lampposts abbout police powers to take groups of kids home etc.  And wondered what it was all about and still do to a point because what are the little darlings parents doing letting em out in the first place, when they dont look to have enough common sense between them to open there own gate never mind cross the road on there own. Fingers   10 #55 Posted July 14, 2007 I've just had a look at the page for the Darnall Mob and a lot of the comments posted on that page contain racist abuse. However, there's one comment which I'll reproduce here in edited form which reminded me of Monty Python's Spanish Inquisition sketch:  S20 MANZ: [Racist term deleted]s r gud 4 1 thing, taxis n take-a-ways  http://pic6.piczo.com/sheffield-city-soljaz-scs/?g=34493270&cr=
 Share this content via...

djelibeybi   10 #57 Posted July 15, 2007 I find this all deeply disturbing having seen the quantity of photos containing youths tooled up.  Is this what Sheffield's youth are doing when they should be in school or working?! It looks to me like a pack mentality. A pack which targets the weak and has no respect for Law and Order.  I belong to a biker group, and we consider ourselves a family which includes babies and children, but we certainly don't post photos of ourselves on the Internet posing with weapons, threatening anyone because of their lifestyle, colour, creed, beliefs, appearance or postcode! What ever happened to the Sheffield spirit of being friendly and supportive of your neighbours?!  The future of our country.......terrifying......... Fingers   10 #58 Posted July 15, 2007 Two posters have made the same point:  This countries future. Scary  The future of our country.......terrifying.........  That's one way of looking at this. However, another way of looking at this is to say that we're not looking at the future: we're looking at the present and the future could be even worse. I1L2T3 Â Â 10 #59 Posted July 15, 2007 I find this all deeply disturbing having seen the quantity of photos containing youths tooled up. Â very disturbing. A few weeks ago I confronted some 16-17 year olds damaging proprty near my house so went to confront them. They pegged it and I chased after them for 50 yards or so. I didn't think but just went after them and thankfully they kept on going - when I got home the missus was fuming, nearly crying, because she was worried she'd never see me again. It comes to something when you can't even confront people who are wantonly damaging property in broad daylight. The annoying thing was that before I went out I'd tried 101 several times and it was engaged Fat lot of use that is. Â Like when we were kids we weren't angels. We had a gang but the worst we did was knock and run or the odd tyre let down, maybe nick a few mojos from the shop. But nuckledusters, knives and flare guns? HbroChris   10 #60 Posted July 15, 2007 What a fantastic resource for prevention and detection of crime! It's like Darwinism, but for being arrested. Especially for having your picture taken holding a firearm (doesn't even really matter if they're all replicas!).  We could call it Peelism or something.  Seriously though, it does concern me that the welfare state will evenutally rely on these people growing up and getting jobs so they can pay tax and NI.
