Any ideas on this "net runtime optimization service"

Recommended Posts

net runtime optimization service

Since yesterday the above keeps appearing in my Zone Alarm security alarm pop up box.

Should I allow it

Since yesterday my computer has been running slow at times and the cpu usage (in Task Manager)varies between very low and very high (90%). I presume this has something to do the above.

Any ideas anybody

Thanks

Sounds like mscorsvw.exe. If so, it should only be running when your computer is idle. Once it is done it will go away. You can safely allow it access, but I suspect it will work just the same if you block it.
