i was over at meadowhell today and took a few pics ..

heading into the oasis carpark the banking thats been put on the side to keep the next floods out,

and the new barrier on the side of the road where the wall got washed away, ironically the footbridge thats been covered in scaffolding for ages .. looked open

looking the other way

and further down

 

i see hmv and virgin are still closed too as most of the shops on the bottom floor are,however the lanes are open,

Surely thats a temporary defence as i cant imagine them ever putting much resistance up, if we ever get the sort of rain again!

I got pics with police van stalled on Leppings lane and lorry towing them out they obviously havent had training for driving through floods

Hi All, I'm wanting to know if anyone is prepared to print me a selection of the worst hit pictures etc for free, for my Charity event to raise funds for the flood victims, it's all above board etc and if you can help pm me and i'll go through it all with you, i just want to be able to put some up for all to see.
