I rang Terrys skips yesterday, they didn't seem keen to deliver to Sheffield, said they'd check and phone back, but didn't ring. Time wasters.

I think they might be a little bit busy at the moment somehow.

Also why before they give you a price do they ask which particular area? and why would it be much cheaper in one than another?

Maybe they have to deliver and retrieve it, then take it to the nearest landfill site to where you live?

 

I'd assume thats all taken into account when pricing up.

I don't know but you do right to quote by weight. We once hired a large skip, thier words, and it was about 1/3 the size we expected.
