Steve1950   10 #568 Posted October 25, 2016 Hi , I attended Waltheof at this time , lots of memories .  Steve Green  ---------- Post added 25-10-2016 at 15:53 ----------  Sweetcheeks, I was there from 67-72. I remember all these teachers. Also Miss Sarson, DW Smith, Mr Battersby, Miss Batty, Mr Rawlings, (they married each other) Who was the teacher that lived in Darnall on Darnall Main Rd right before it turned into Staniforth Rd? He hated black kids. He once got Linval Madden and used him like a battering ram and rammed his head into the wall in the classroom. putting a hole in it.   If I remember correctly It was Dennis Cooper ! Though many of the names I recognise, some close friends who I am no longer in touch with. I hope he will prove me wrong but I believe John Smalley has passed on to pasture greener (RIP). Darnex   11 #572 Posted November 15, 2016 Hi Steved32 This was the year after me. Though many of the names I recognise, some close friends who I am no longer in touch with. I hope he will prove me wrong but I believe John Smalley has passed on to pasture greener (RIP).  Very Sadly , after prolonged illness , John passed on a few years ago . We lived within 1 mile of each other for over twenty years without realising it , met again via this forum , and subsequently managed to have a few giggles at our drum from time to time, along with a few invited fellow Stalag - Waltheof internees . A Good Lad gone.
 Share this content via...

I’ve not read the whole of this thread yet but what I have is very interesting. I can add a few names to this list, myself leaving in 1971. Some of these left in 1970. I believe ours was the last year that had the option of leaving at 15.   Dave (Arthur) Askham Garry Birkwood Glyn Oran Chris (Sam) Rooms Pete Goude Steve Stansfield Dave Thomlinson Linda Haslam Julia Goddard Julie Stansfield Denise Proctor Denise Chapman Gary France Harry Fletcher Gary Jackson Sharon Drinkwater Susan Shaw Wendy Wiseman Melvin Jeffries Ali Ben Ahmed Ajaib Azize Dave Bolsover Bob (Stan) Stansfield? Steven Brailsford Gary Hall Robert Cowley Steven Atwood Kathrine Hodgson Pat Clarke Elain ----- Margaret Shield Hazel Manterfield   Sad to hear about John Smalley. I too often frequented the little house on the green.  DARNEX I think we may be acquainted, a good clue would be if you recognise the term C15?  ---------- Post added 16-11-2016 at 12:12 ----------   DARNEX I think we may be acquainted, a good clue would be if you recognise the term C15?  Apparently I can't reply to your PM until I've submitted at least 5 posts:(  ---------- Post added 16-11-2016 at 12:12 ----------  DARNEX I think we may be acquainted, a good clue would be if you recognise the term C15?  ---------- Post added 16-11-2016 at 12:12 ----------   Apparently I can't reply to your PM until I've submitted at least 5 posts:(  so here is number three  ---------- Post added 16-11-2016 at 12:13 ----------  getting closer  ---------- Post added 16-11-2016 at 12:14 ----------  4 this could get boring  ---------- Post added 16-11-2016 at 12:15 ----------  5 this could be a clue   PM on its way  ---------- Post added 16-11-2016 at 12:17 ----------  6 got to make it six. someone cant count:hihi:
 Share this content via...

Dun graftin   10 #575 Posted November 16, 2016 Still not letting me PM you Darnex, probably a slow admin uptake thing.  Have a think about an aubergine 100E, a green 1500 MK1 cortina (rubber side up) and a white/red mini.  Any Clues?
