Hopman
If you've been watching this competition over the past week, you'll know that this weekend it reaches its climax with the final taking place live on Sunday. Last Night was the final of the Rosenblatt song contest and thios will be televised tonight. The English competitor, Elizabeth Watts, used to live and work in Sheffield and has made a name for herself. After leaving Sheffield, she has been working at ENO. Earlier this year I heard she was taking part in the Cardiff Singer of the World in both the main competition and also the Rosenblatt song competition. According to another competitor's website (Ryan McKinny from the USA): Well, I am proud to say that I left my heart on the stage, and I gave a beautiful performance tonight. As I predicted in a television interview earlier, my colleague from England, Elizabeth Watts was the winner of the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Rosenblatt Song Recital Award. Congratulations to her on a beautiful performance, a well deserved win, and a wonderful career ahead of her.
