NEKRO138 Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I should imagine this may have been quite a worrying experience for you, as it would be for many. But, I would not have worried. I have chosen this thread to reveal my true personality. You see forummers, I am Captain Scarlet and I am indestructible. The reason I give you all this revelation is that Captain Black is at large and it is solely up to me to track him down and destroy him and the Mysterons for good. Captain Magenta and Colonel White are of little help, and Captain Blue is plain useless. Please, forummers, help me find this fiend. And in the meantime, beware whilst driving in the rain. Aquaplaning can be a terrible ordeal for mortals.

Minesadouble Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Aquaplaning and the tram tracks in rain ...A disaster waiting to happen:(
SupraSteve Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Aquaplaning and the tram tracks in rain ...A disaster waiting to happen:( That's not aquaplaning, that's driving on a surface of much more limited frictional coefficient (resulting in slipping/skidding).
SaxonLeigh Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 i've never aquaplaned in my car thankfully. if you have low tyre presure can this increase your chance of aquaplaning? i check my tyre presure every month normally as i am so paranoid about my car wheels given that they are the only part that come in to contact with the road.

It could do, as the tyre won't be the optimal shape it is meant to be. Low tyre pressures affect MPG, braking distances, grip/traction, handling, tyre life - and if they're dangerously low - risk a catastrophic failure (e.g. a 'blow out'). You're right to check them every week - everyone should.
