Ginner   10 #25 Posted June 13, 2007 Michael Schumacher won most of his championships in the best car (ok) but against 3rd rate competition  I know. That's why I'd like to see him sat alongside a couple of competitive drivers.... like I said, let's see if he would continue to break F1 records.... Smithster   10 #26 Posted June 13, 2007 Very pleased to see Lewis get his first win. Knew it wouldn't be long. Glad I booked my ticket for Silverstone when I did as apparently, all of the general sale tickets went within 24hrs of Lewis' win. Should make for a great atmosphere anyway.  Renault and Ferrari have stuffed it this season. No way that they will make up the ground on the Mclarens IMO. Which means it will come down to a straight fight between Hamilton and Alonso for the title. And if Fernando doesn't sort his head out he will hand it to Lewis on a plate. He's already spat his dummy out...  http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/6744297.stm  He did the same thing at Renault last year when he accused them of not backing him because they didn't want him to take the No 1 status to Mclaren. A good driver but nothing but a big cry-baby. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Hamilton takes the title this year.
 Share this content via...
seeyoujimmy   10 #27 Posted June 13, 2007 Is it just me then that is sick of the coverage that Lewis is getting? It's not a race build up anymore it's Hamilton build up???? There's no doubting that the guy is fantastic and doing well but i'm sick of seeing him all over the coverage not to mention his dad, aunty and second cousin twice removed from outer mongolia, at the end of the day there are 21 other drivers on the track including 3 (not very good) Brits. The build up used to be my favourite part but now i don't tune in until 5 mins before the start.  Can't wait to see the excuses when he makes his first major mistake... dfgenius   10 #28 Posted June 15, 2007 I compltetely agree about the over-hype of Lewis, it must also be daunting for him having so much attention. It doesn't take anything away from the fact that he's a fantastic driver. I think he's aldready one of the greats and to think what he will be like in a couple of years time - no-one will be able to get close to him.  For those that are going to Silverstone, I'm going there through work so I'll see you there
 Share this content via...
