DIVA Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 The police don't usually make recommendations for traffic improvements but they do record all road traffic collisions which involve injuries. The Government have set challenging targets for Councils to significantly reduce the amount of injury accidents, particularly those involving children. The Council have access to the police database, monitor for accident hotspots and look to introduce remedial measures where they can. That site is well known for red light running collisions, that's why there's a red light camera there. The tidal flow system also brings it's own problems for motorists. That's very informative but not as reassuring as I would have hoped - I hope it's a priority for the Council then, to put extra safety measures in place.
cgksheff Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 The most likely cause of a collision at this junction is as a result of idiots ignoring the no left/right turn restrictions.
