rocketman Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Oh come on guys, give this thing a chance. We're just seeing the logo in isolation, we're not seeing the whole picture or how it will be used. The new logo is bold and colourful and would work really well on things like stadium billboards and t-shirts. I've written a bit of a blog about my other reactions on my website here But I've got to say i love the 'sex act' observation - priceless!

Can't say I agree with you about the creative 'genius' behind this work, unless you mean the genius that sold this overpriced and hideous 80's T-shirt design to the Olympics Committee. They could quite easily have involved the commuity at a fraction of the price and got a logo that the whole of the UK would have been involved in choosing. And it's not like the £400,000 it cost wouldn't have been useful in offsetting some of the costs of the now hugely overbudget Olympics stadium plans. Idiots - and worse - idiots without taste.
rocketman Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I was being sarcastic when I mention the creative genius behind all this!
SleepyHead Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I was being sarcastic when I mention the creative genius behind all this! Ah - sorry - lack of context takes me for a fool once more. Doh!
Nabsdabs1@ti Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 It probably cost a couple of million quid, did that. Of course it's trash and yet that seems to fit in with the stupid, pointless and incredibly expensive LONDON Olympics. Oh well, good to see the Lottery paying out again....., it actually cost £400'000 but thats still £399,999 too much!!! my ten year old son could do a better job !!! which firm of plonkers got away with this anyway ?
