alchresearch Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 I bought a bottle of L&P because I'd run of of Hendos and wasn't going to go to Sheffield for a while. It was foul and remains in my cupboard unused.
waldershelf Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Lea and Perrins indeed. I don't know what the worlds coming to, damned incomers bringing in their foreign ways and then having the barefaced cheek to come on our forum and disrespect Sheffields nectar. Its just heresy and should be dealt with in the traditional fashion......... all aboard the lynch mob charabanc to Derby
ducatiboy Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 You should never use Worcestershire sauce as embalming fluid!
nick2 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 heretic! My workmates are building a wicker man in the car park as we speak. In my defense, I only have L&P in the house for the occasional medicinal Bloody Mary, I have tried putting Hendersons in and it's not quite right.
coltsevers Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 My misses was from Chesvegas before she met (i was not going to move there was i) hence she had never tried or heard of Hendo's. On her first visit to my mothers she was made the token Meat and tatty pie wi mushi peas and hendos. She has never looked back. She even posts bottle of it down to her mother in Walsall. They have friends come round for dinner and ask for us to send it down. Not doing that though. Family is okay if they live outside of sheffield but other. not a chance
LibertyBell Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 (It has anchovies in it) Rotting anchovies actually. TBH I'm not sure I could tell the difference though
Ousetunes Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Heaven in one dish. You've got me really hungry for this now. Food doesn't get any better than meat, tatty, mushies and HENDERSON'S relish, oodles and oodles of it. Aaaaaggggh, gimmie some, NOW.
