Languages are not fixed things; they are fluid and evolving tools. Every generation collectively adapts and changes their language to suit their own particular need.

Words and phrases take on new meanings as they are used for different purposes.

Who could have imagined what a conversation about the ‘web’ or a ‘mobile’ would mean 30 years ago. These words existed then. Is it us who are wrong for taking these words and using them to describe something new? Of course not!

The English language is not even a true language! If you look at the place names in England for example, you see the Roman, Norse and Anglo-Saxon influence. Lawyers or Solicitors and Doctors find their job much easier with a good grasp of Latin. When you ask for an Orange at the supermarket you are using a Sandskrit word; a misspelt version of Naranj. Awful used to mean ‘deserving of Awe’, Brave used to mean Cowardice (as in Bravado) and counterfeit used to mean ‘legitimate copy’ as opposed to the opposite meaning we use today.

Every time you see something new and different about somebody you meet, whether it is the way they use language or how they look, you learn more about yourself and what it is to be a human being.

If we all start imposing our views of right and wrong onto other cultures and religions we end up in a war. This is because you can’t always define things as black and white or right and wrong.

The fact that we have differences is something fantastic and these differences should be celebrated!

They have a joint venture making hard dicks.

It reminds me of the old joke about Xerox and Yamaha joining forces to make reproductive organs.

Anybody who uses a cell phone at the movies or my favorite restaurant should be in JAIL. You mean there are cars with automatic transmission where you don't have to double declutch or anything. What is the world coming to. I blame it on Charles Lindbergh. He should have stayed home.
