Arfer Mo Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Wow that brings back memorys i used to work at Wigfalls offices that were in the Wicker, and we would go to the peacock once a week it was so good, I also remember a travel agent there to wood something it was called. Hi miami now it was woodcocks the travel agents, Iwent to the Peacock the first week it opened, they were very good in those days, but they went down a bit later I thought so anyway Cheers Arthur.

I lived very close to there on Johnson St.The back of the OXO place used to be the Refreshment Houses where you could buy a meal after the war.

Still would like to find someone from the gleadless Valley area who would be now in there 50's i grew up there from being in Jr 2 to leaving school well its worth a try im also looking for a long lost cousin but i guess that will not happen have a good night everyone Miami Now

I used to go on thursdays also had a pork and veggie meal i had never eaten there before but loved it felt like a rich person.lol
