DJ_Double_N Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 How many units can u drink then drive? Just wondered!
carlas_cat Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 I would say NONE. Its too risky, and not just if you get caught. No one knows their own limits, everyone is different. Is it worth killing yourself or someone else just so you can have a drink?
happyhippy Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 The simple answer is that it's unanswerable! It goes on the amount of alcohol in your blood (not quite the same as how much you've had), which decreases over time (obviously). Different people have a different tolerances to alcohol, and the alcohol in the blood stream will leave at different rates. The best way is just not to drink if you need to drive.
Halibut Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 It all depends on your constitution and size i.e. a six -foot bloke weighing twenty stone might be able to drink three pints and 'get away with it' - a woman weighing seven stone might not. Safest not to drink at all if you're driving.
RazorSHarp Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 How many units can u drink then drive? Just wondered! Legally probably wouldn't have any if I needed to drive. But I bet I could still handle a vehicle after 8 or 10 pints no problem, probably be better off the road though if you want me to try it maybe in a field or a large area with nothing to damage/kill?
Ghostrider Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Dont drink at all if you are getting behind the wheel.....
SimpyTimpy Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 One pint seems to be the most common interpretation
muckynees Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Personally I wont even drink a lager shandy if I'm driving!
Jonny5 Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 http://www.knowyourlimits.gov.uk/stay_safe/driving.html None is the best bet.
neeeeeeeeeek Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 If I am eating a meal I will have a pint. I wont drink any more and drive.
