Rich Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 PMSL! These so called "experts" need to shut up IMO, they clearly have no idea what they're talking about 80+% of the time
donkey Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 A senior Polish official has ordered psychologists to investigate whether the popular BBC TV show Teletubbies promotes a homosexual lifestyle. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/6698753.stm Maybe he should order a report to investigate if watching politicians promotes a sly, manipulative and generally nasty lifestyle.

Dozy Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Some things never change - same thing happened with Noddy and Big Ears a few years back, but then it was the US getting its knickers in a knot: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/pda/A779781?s_id=3&s_split=6 Dozy
plekhanov Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 "I noticed he was carrying a woman's handbag," she told a magazine. "At first, I didn't realise he was a boy." How did she come to the conclusion that "he's" a boy, I must confess I've only seen an episode or two but the Teletubbies seem rather sexless to me. Even if Tinky Winky is male the handbag would suggest "he's" a transvestite not that he's gay, still that's not a distinction you'd expect hard-line Catholic nuts like those running Poland to comprehend.
happyhippy Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Willo the Wisp - with Mavis the too fat to fly fairy always looking for a hot date Evil Edna was always calling the other characters fat and stupid. (hardly PC ) I can't imagine it being as readily accepted by some parents now, though I heard that the americans had done a remake It was done by the original director, and narrated by James Dreyfus. Willo The Wisp was wonderful when I was a kid, and even better when I realised what it was REALLY about as I got older! Just like Dangermouse (that cartoon was NEVER designed for kids ).
Brunette Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Tinky Winky gay?? I doubt that very much, a gay teletubby would have made a much better job of matching his handbag to the rest of his ensemble.
