My nan if she was surprised at anything (not that nan's are ever surprised at anything) would say....well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs...!!!!! Happy days :love:

My mum used to sing it like this... Mairzy doats and dozy doats and liddle lousy trousers A kiddley divey do :hihi:

 

It must be a thing with nans singing this - but they all sing slightly different words! Mine sang

 

Mares eat oats and dozy goats and little lambs eat ivy............... :hihi: :hihi:

I remember visiting my ex's nan several years ago, who kindly welcomed us with "I'd rather have queers in my house than thieves!" :hihi:

 

She liked a drink.

I dont remember my gran but my mother once threatened to stick a knife in my "Rops"

She also threatened to throw a toy that I kept whining about onto "The fire back"

I remember watching Tiny Tim on top of the pops, he was singing tiptoe through the tulips and my dad said "He needs hitting `round the back of the neck with a stocking full of Chit"

 

I know... I didint know what he was on about either.

Just remembered one my mum used to use, which seems quite apt considering some of the posters on SF
