aelfheah
Hi Does anyone know of any film or history discussion groups that meet in Sheffield? I can't seem to find any related event forums. I once joined a film discussion group years ago(that big old place off the crossroads off Bannerdale/Archer Road), but as so few people enrolled, it was disbanded before it happened. KivWaHistory
There are quite a few history groups and societies operating around Sheffield, and other groups/institutions which have public meetings and seminars, including the Hunter Archeological Society, the history departments at the two universities, etc. Pop down to the Local Studies Department at Surrey St. and browse the dozens of event posters you'll find outside just outside the door. aelfheah
Thanks guys, I'll look at Surrey St library for events, forgot about that. Yes, they're my artwork, there's a plethora of warriors in there, yes aelfheah was Archbishop of Canterbury murdered by drunken vikings in 1012, because he refused to be ransomed & freed by Ethelred.
