Rich
Here goes! Wonder if there's any openings for script writers in WWE or TNA?
redrobbo
There was a sense of excitement conveyed in this account of the various wrestling bouts Rich, but you've written the story from an insider's viewpoint. I'm afraid some of SF readers are not up to scratch on such technical terminology as "enziguri kick". As a consequence, the story became less interesting as the wrestling matches progressed. You either needed to explain some of the technical terms used, or outlined their consequences, e.g., ' the enziguri kick was delivered to the {insert: relevant part of the body} and felled the giant - who came crashing to the floor". shoeshine
redrobbo's comments do have a lot of merit Rich. It would help if you were to include a small Glossary explaining the nature of the wrestling moves used in each particular story to aid the reader. Perhaps you could write one separately on a document and merge relative parts of same into your stories as perhaps a Footnote. That would save you time rewriting elements of the moves for your future contributions on this subject matter. Incidentally, I'm no expert on these matters, but I think your composition and the general presentation of your work is excellent. You really love the Professional Wrestling scene don't you? Rich
Only thing is that Word doesn't like the way I write Damn thing keeps spewing out typos and grammar errors! I didn't get an A in GCSE English Literature 10 years ago by being grammatically ignorant for goodness sake!
shoeshine
I understand your frustration Rich. I find it helpful, but it's somewhat "over-keen" on perceived grammatical errors and is annoying at times. I'm not expert in using Word, but the more I use it the more familiar I become with all the aids available within the software. Keep persevering with it. I have no idea why it offers "ignore all" at times, and "ignore once" at other times.
