For me a owls supporter since the late 60s the current set up is on a par with the change in mood that Jack Charlton brought in.Not in the sense that he was a bigger name than Laws but the atmosphere and attitude of the suppoerters has changed.When Atkinson and Francis build that great team and brought us success i think the supporters rightly thought we would kick on.The problem is that all clubs go thro cycles of change and in my opinion when Pleat took over we were on a downward curve.Add to that the depature of our parasite chairman and you go into free fall.The outlook is looking better but things need to be done gradually and youngsters"local if possible" brought in and given time.Id also like to see a couple of out of contract prem players brought in to add some exp in to help the younger end.Sheff utd have a couple of decent players but i dont think there squad was or is strong enough for them to win the championship but the play offs will be well withihn there grasp.The owls will hopefully push on and with a couple of new faces give anyone in the lg a game.Who knows this time next season.Up the owls.

if that was dick darby who went to benidom knew him very well ,he was a pal of me and my dad ,didnt know he had died,sorry to hear that.remember the brit with him 25 years ago.we were in the pool team.

Dick was his dad , Derrick was one of his lads and was 42 when he died.Dick had a kichen shop on attercliff between the greyhound and the britt.

Yes altho derrick was "an handfull"was a good lad at heart and always a good laugh.Derricks other brother also died not so long ago as well. Not sure of his name and didnt really know him.

Really,well when i was drinking with him we were fine pal. Sorry if he upset you but he did have a good side believe me.People have differant opinions but tend to air them when the person is no longer there to defend themselves,if you know what i mean. :)

when he was smashing a chair over a young kids head, i said some thing then, i also said some thing when he punched a kid in the back of the head for not buying no coke of him. he was a bully and a recist but only when it sited him. darby got his come uppene when he calles a guy a ni**er and got a slap
