Not to landlines or mobiles.
 Share this content via...
fion   10 #14 Posted May 28, 2007 More fool you. Skype is FREE for computer to computer via internet voice (VOIP) calls. Not to landlines or mobiles.  since there is difference of local time between me and my friend, therefore we seldom chat using skype together. i call her mobile usually. tedypanda   10 #15 Posted May 28, 2007 Skype is great!!!! Could also use it to call to mobile or landline. Well, not free but cheap.... highly recommended. I understand that those 0844 or 0870 could be registered. When someone use that number, the one who registered will gain money. alternageek   10 #16 Posted May 29, 2007 my partners mum speaks to her siter in virginia usa every sunday on her laptop through skype, this way they get to see each other as well as talk  we're buying a dual handset like this: http://www.morecomputers.co.uk/extra.asp?pn=VOIP8411B/05&referer=Froogle  they run about £100 but i can call using my internet connection via skype to my family back home for FREE and not wait around at my computer. i currently have my skype calls forwarded to my landline phone for about 2p a minute, but with this handset i wont have to do that anymore. i figure even shelling out for the handset is still ££ it will pay itself off in a year or so and thus worth the money.
