Ok. The sign which says "Stannington - rural district of Wortly" is situated right outside the Sportsman and the two estates you mention are lower down Stannington road than this. Signs don't lie.

I believe there is also a sign at the bottom of Stannington Rd,at Malin Bridge that says To Stannington. Where do you live by the way ? In the village I bet !

I am never really sure why people from the estates are so bothered about saying they live at Stannington.

We arent saying that. Its you that is saying we dont ! We do have a charity shop called The Lower Stannington Community Centre, so why has the council given us permission to say that then ?
