was that the one that cost a fiver for about 30 seconds? I watched that while my family were in the navy simulator, it looked great (if you like that sort of thing) but I only saw it working just the once while we were there, it was a sort of big long arm that had a spinnything on the end. The spinnything on the end span round and the big long arm rotated a full circle.

like its already been stated it won't be going back to hillsborough as they will not allow it there no more but glad i not been to don valley one the price put me off

Well this has restored my faith in the people of Sheffield. I couldn't understand anyone who had gone to last year's event, going to the one this year but I must admit, I thought a lot of us Sheffielders would be daft enough to go again. Good on ya' - the only thing that was gonna make a difference to policy was voting with your feet - or do I mean wallets?

but its not only mayfest afterdark is 8 pound to get in lets hope the people of sheffield stick two fingers up at been fleeced al the time . btw thats the ride only found out about it from the fair forum i go on .scott reads this so hopefully now he will take the hint even a good friend of mine in the showman trade said 7 pound put him off also the bands are crap this year .

Its very easy to blame weather isn't it? Of course this will have put a lot of people off, but to be honest I think they got what they deserved.

I read it like that too. It doesn't seem to have dawned on them at all (or they're not letting on) that people were protesting - they just think it was the weather.

 

It does make me wonder though - we are living in a convenience/Germ obsessed society - how many people would have been put of my the weather?
