Tuberculosis could be a killer. The Isolation Hospitals at Lodge Moor and Grenoside doing rampant business. Using the same bath water as someone else. Kids wiping their noses on their coat sleeves because they had never seen a handkerchief. Halcyon Days!!!

Yes, but according to my mum, all childish ailments could be cured by Vick, Germolene or calomine lotion. Mind you, this is the woman who fed me hot brandy toddies in the morning before I went to infants school!! Dozy
